Producing panelling and moldings from sawn lumber is a simple and profitable way to refine wood. Logosol PH260 planes and molds four sides at once. You can quickly and easily produce all imaginable standard and custom-made moldings. As it is easy to reset the cutters, PH260 is perfect for short customized series.

One difference between PH260 and traditional multi-cutter planers is that the upper cutter and lower cutter are suspended in both ends. Due to this, the machine is extremely stable, even though it has considerably wider cutters than most large planers. The machine table, where the lower cutter and the side cutters are fitted, is made of heavy cast iron. The machine chassis is made of 4 mm (5/32") sheet steel

It doesn’t get any smoother

It is impossible to see any difference between a board that is machined in Logosol’s planer/molder and one machined in an industrial machine costing tens ofthousands. The only difference is that the more expensive machine is faster. With PH260 you can machine about 1600 linear feet per hour. With a large industrial machine the output is several yards per hour. Logosol’s two year warranty also applies to machines that is used for continuous industrial operation. The reliability of PH260 is very high due to thermoguards that prevents each of the five electric motors from being overloaded

A wide range of moldings

PH260 can handle everything from timber beams to picture frames. You can choose from a wide range of standard molding knives or order your own custom-made knives. Both standard and specially designed molding knives are reasonably priced.

Cut deeply

The cutters can handle sizeable depths. This makes it possible to cut deep and beautiful patterns. PH260 also has a remarkable capacity when it comes to poorly sawn lumber. The upper cutter can plane to a depth of 8 mm (3/8’’), plus the molding depth, in one single operation, and the side cutters can cut even more.

Use other cutter system

When delivered, the planer/molder is ready for squaring. It is set up with HSS planing knives in the upper and lower cutters, and 50 mm (2") HSS planing knives in the side cutters. The 30 mm (1 3/16’’) spindle diameter of the side cutters enables you to choose from a number of other cutter systems that are available on the market today.

Our customers

Many of our customers only have their PH260 for personal use. Even more of them combine this with selling the finished products or offering subcontract work on a limited scale. It does not require many hours of paid planing/molding per year to cover the annual cost of a PH260. The largest customer group consists of small businesses in the wood processing field and DIY-stores.
