A automatic chain sharpening robot

The patented design has been developed in collaboration with Markusson Development, which has extensive experience in automatic chain sharpening machines. The sharpening robot revolutionizes the work with chainsaw mills, and you have the luxury of always having a perfect chain on your chainsaw. If you want, you can even take on the task of sharpening your neighbors' chains.

Extremely sharp

In addition to sharpening automatically, it sharpens exceptionally well. Without any scientific evidence, we can say that the edge of the teeth feels sharper than on a new saw chain, and it is noticeable when you are cutting with it. It can handle both 1.3 Picco chains and standard 1.6-3/8" or 0.325 chains. Both the tooth angle and the attack angle are adjustable, so it sharpens both ripping chains and crosscut chains equally well.

One adjustment per chain sharpening

The machine sharpens one side of the chain at a time. This means that after a while, you need to adjust the grinding head angle and move the chain forward by one tooth to sharpen the other side of the chain. It sharpens ten teeth per minute. The time required to sharpen a chain is about 1.5 minutes per side. Starting and adjusting the grinding head takes approximately half a minute.

No burning

All Logosol users know that you should file frequently, but with a small amount of felling, just enough to restore the sharpness to the teeth. This is, of course, not a problem with the Sharpening Robot. What's even more impressive is that it can handle a crosscut chain in one go. Regardless of the amount of felling you choose, it does not burn the teeth.

Automatic sharpening in the forest as well

It's not always that you have electricity where you're cutting. Thanks to the fact that the robot operates on 12V, you can power it with a car battery. One battery is sufficient to sharpen several hundred saw chains. It's also possible to power it with a so-called jump starter, which is available at a low cost. A regular battery charger works perfectly as well. The sharpener comes with a detachable cable with sturdy clamps.

Sharpen while you cut

It's best if you have an equal number of teeth on the chain, meaning an equal number of right and left teeth. The number of links is then evenly divisible by four. You can let the chain run a few turns on each side. With each turn, the chain gets sharper until the grinding wheel no longer contacts the teeth. If you have an uneven number of teeth or if you simply want to sharpen one turn, you attach a small clamp to the chain, which automatically stops the sharpening after one turn.

We've been waiting for this for a long time

We at Logosol believe that this is very good. It's a machine that will make the work much easier for all Logosol users. If one were to compare it with the automatic feed unit of an electric saw, the sharpening robot offers the same level of convenience. What it also does is provide noticeably better cutting results and less wear and tear on the cutting equipment.
